Thomas Davis Obituary

Thomas E. "Tom" Davis, 67, of Plainville, passed away peacefully early morning on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Amberwoods of Farmington following a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. Tom was born on November 15, 1957 in New Britain, CT son to the late Theodore Frederick Davis, Sr. and Norma Elizabeth (Roach) Davis. Growing up in the community of Plainville, he was a proud graduate of Plainville High School, class of 1975. Following his graduation, Tom felt a strong calling to serve his country and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1976, where he exemplified courage and commitment that defined his character throughout his life. For many years, Tom worked as a truck driver for Northeast Riggers, where he leaves many friends and co-workers. A long-time member of Hawk's Landing Country Club, Tom was a fixture on the golf course, where he spent countless hours enjoying the fresh air and camaraderie of friends and fellow golfers. He was a lover of the outdoors and found great joy in not only his rounds of golf, but the thrill of fishing. Whether on the fairway or by the shore, he embraced every moment, creating lasting friendships along the way. Many of his friends through the years turned into family. His infectious sense of humor and warm heart touched everyone he encountered. Tom is survived by his daughter, his son, and his cherished grandson, Clayton Pavlowitz; his brother, Theodore F. Davis, Jr.; his best friend and companion of many years, Jeannine Boucher, along with her brother, Michael Boucher and his wife, Anne; many nieces and nephews; and his devoted friends, who stood by his side and visited him often through his battle, Kirk Jandreau and Mary Ellen Platt. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Mini, whom he absolutely adored. He was predeceased by his brothers, Robert Allen Davis and Edward Newton Davis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad Street, Plainville. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. In honor of Tom's service to our country in the U.S. Navy, full military honors will be accorded following the Mass. Burial will be held privately at a later date. Donations in memory of Tom may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741 or by going to https://give.michaeljfox.org/.
