Thomas Parkman Obituary

Thomas "Bobby" George Parkman, Jr. 64, of Hartford, CT, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital with his daughter by his side. Bobby was born on February 1, 1961, in Hartford, CT, to the late Thomas G. Parkman, Sr. and Elizabeth Jordan Parkman. Bobby was raised in Hartford, CT, where he attended Hartford Public Schools and graduated from Hartford High School in 1982. After graduating, Bobby went on to be employed at Tallulahs Catering, XL Center, and later retired from The Hartford Public Library in 2024. He was a dependable and committed employee. You could always catch him watching his favorite football team the Pittsburgh Steelers, BLACK & YELLOW! Bobby is survived by his one and only daughter, Rasheeda Weaver; two grandsons, Jeremy Syms, Jr. and Chase Burgos; two great grandchildren, Cairo and Nia Syms; four brothers: Troy Parkman, Dennis Parkman, Sr., Leo "Cheryl" Gillespie, and Ronald "Lisa" Weaver; three sisters: Denise "Willard" Coppedge, Elizabeth (Parkman) "Freddie" Williams, and April Cameron; step grandmother Willette Barnes; two aunts, Evelyn DeCarish and Betty Harris; eight nieces and nephews: Tashara, Timothy, Jr., Timmell, Eddie, Shane, Tashoy, Tiara Parkman, and Tamoay Talbert; four great nieces and nephews: Tamire and Amire Parkman, and Taurus and Miatye Thomas. Bobby also leaves a host of other family, friends, and co-workers that he has left an imprint on their hearts forever! Besides his parents Bobby was pre-deceased by his maternal grandparents, John H. Barnes and Mary L. Jordan; paternal grandparents, Nathaniel Parkman and Leila (Tinsley) Parkman; a brother, Timothy Parkman, Sr.; two aunts, Annette Jordan and Dorothy (Shortie) Williams; five uncles: Chester, Oscar, Samuel Lee, Melvin, and Alvin (Linda) Jordan, and two sisters, Joanna E.
