Timothy Stevenson Obituary

Timothy "Tim" Stevenson, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 1, 2025. He was born on March 12, 1953, in Darlington, South Carolina, to Timothy Stevenson, Sr. and Nettie Lee Damon Stevenson. Tim was a gifted musician who composed music and taught himself to play various instruments, including the piano, organ, and guitar. He was also an excellent teacher, offering singing and piano lessons to family and friends. When Tim wasn't traveling to play piano for churches, he enjoyed spending time with his family. In his leisure time, he liked playing chess and dominoes, considering himself quite skilled at both games. Tim made a significant impact on everyone he met. He was cherished by many and will be deeply missed. Tim is survived by his mother, Nettie Lee Damon Stevenson; three children, Daniel Lee Edwards of Fayetteville, NC, Shannon Gilbert of Nashville, TN, and Andreya N. Stevenson of New Haven, CT; sister, Patricia Stevenson Freeman; three grandchildren, Shandea Edwards, Daniel Lee Edwards, Jr., and Toni Danielle Edwards; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tim was predeceased by his wife, Wilma Garcia Stevenson; father, Apostle Timothy Stevenson, Jr.; sister, Althea "Bea" Stevenson; and brother, Michael (Stydlebyrd) L. Stevenson.
