Trevor George Vermont

Trevor George Vermont, 79, affectionately known as "Castro," "Cappo," or "Pops" passed away peacefully, surrounded by his beloved wife, Marion and daughter, Jennette "Angie" on Sunday, August 17th, 2025. Trevor was born on September 8th, 1945, in the City of Falmouth, Trelawny, Jamaica. Trevor was known for his witty sense of humor, his devotion to his family and children, and his love for trivia and gardening. Family was everything to Trevor. As a retired construction worker, Trevor was very skilled at using his hands to build and create. He had also worked as a Field Underwriter for New York Life Insurance Company. Trevor is survived by his beloved wife, Marion Facey-Vermont; his daughters: Nadine Anderson and her spouse, Collin Anderson, Sandra Vermont-Hollis, Judith Bernard, Jennette "Angie" Facey-Livingston, Denise Watkins and her spouse, Darrin Watkins, and his beloved son, Terence Vermont and his spouse, Regina Vermont. Trevor is also survived by eleven grandchildren, his siblings: Lloyd Vermont, Carolyn "Dawn" Vermont, and Jennifer Vermont, and her husband, Dr. Stephen Davis. Trevor was predeceased by his brother, Reverend Errol Vermont; sister, Marjorie Vermont; mother, Marie Malcolm Dunbar, and father, Noel George Vermont. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. Trevor was loved by many and special to everyone who was graced to be in his presence. Upon Trevor's transition, Trevor spoke these words: "I HAVE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT. I HAVE FINISHED MY COURSE. I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH." Trevor also uttered these words with his eyes closed prior to transitioning: "I'M HAPPY, I'M HAPPY!" He is in sweet Beulah land now. May he rest in eternal peace.
