Warren Paul Brink

Warren Paul "Butch" Brink, 82, of South Windsor, beloved husband of 59 years to Elaine (Greenwood) Brink, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. He was born on June 14, 1943, in Hartford, one of three children to the late Warren F. Brink and Marie C. Klapprodt. Warren grew up in East Hartford and graduated with the Class of 1961 before earning his degree from the University of Hartford. A devoted sports fan, he cheered for UConn athletics, the New York Giants, and especially his beloved New York Mets. After retirement from a career in sales, Warren cherished his time working at Willowbrook and Topstone golf courses. There he found joy in building lasting friendships with fellow golfers and staff, often sharing stories and laughter on the greens. He also enjoyed travelling and cruising with his wife and friends. Warren was a familiar face at the 99 Restaurant in Vernon and could be found there several times a week having lunch. Warren treasured moments spent at the Connecticut shore with his wife and family, making countless memories together. However, his greatest passion was spending time with and supporting his grandchildren in all their pursuits. Whether attending sporting events or school activities, Grandpa was always present- his steady encouragement and pride leaving a lasting impression on those he loved most. In addition to his wife, Warren is survived by his daughters, Gretchen Lunsford and her husband Gordon of Ellington and their children Ryan, Kevin, and Kyle; Jennifer Crosse and her boyfriend Tom Fraize of Glastonbury and her children McKenna and Mason; his brother, Peter Brink and his wife Paula of Barkhamsted; as well as his sister-in-law, Sally Brink of North Carolina. Warren was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Donald Brink. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor.
