Wayne Allen Appell

Wayne Allen Appell, 76, of McDonough, GA passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Wayne was born on October 8, 1948 in Meriden, Connecticut. He loved and valued family. Anyone who met Wayne, considered him a friend. Trucks and hot rods were his passion. He previously owned and operated Wayne's Transport Trucking Company. Later in life, Wayne discovered his interest in customizing golf carts. He eventually opened a custom golf cart business in Atlanta South RV Resort. Many of Wayne's custom-built golf carts can still be found there today. He is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jones Appell and his father, Fred Appell. Wayne is survived by his mother, Shirley Appell of Palm Harbor, FL; his brother, Bruce Appell of Las Vegas, NV; and his fiancé, Linda Hicks of Loganville, GA, along with 2 children, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 aunts and cousins.
