William Bowen Obituary
William E. Bowen, 21, of Hartford, passed tragically on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
William was born in Hartford, and raised in Hartford and New Britain, the son Fay Marie Hernandez and William Bowen, and attended New Britain High School. He worked in several restaurants over the years, which was a perfect job because he loved to eat, and most recently was a Warehouse Worker with Trader Joe's in Hartford.
William was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who loved his family more than anything. He was an energetic and kind spirit who stepped into a fatherly role at a young age to his younger brothers and sisters and always felt responsible for making sure they were taken care of. William was a true and loyal friend and would give you the shirt off his back or the last dollar in his pocket if you needed it. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that would light up a room. He loved large in his short 21 years and, with a baby on the way, was very excited to be a future dad. He was very close with his mom and grandma and would call his grandma twice a day; and no matter what time it was, she would always pick up.
William was a ball of energy and loved to do back-flips and entertain his siblings. He also enjoyed playing X-Box and basketball with his family and friends. William was a big sports fan, and especially loved Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Tom Brady and The New England Patriots.
In addition to his parents, William leaves to celebrate his life, his paternal grandmother, Agnes Bowen; maternal grandmother Magdaleha Ayala; his siblings, Ariana Hernandez, Maurice Robinson, Trinity Robinson, Noah Robinson, Daizjonia Bediako, Leeana Bowen, Tahjeana Mercado, Gia'Manie Bowen, and Brycen Bowen; uncles, Carlos Hernandez and Julian Bowen; his aunt, Alexis Snell; first cousins, Carols, Genesis, and Jayden Hernandez, Ciara and Jyrine Bowen; and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
