William Kimball Obituary

William G. Kimball, 73 of Plainville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday April 18, 2025. He was the husband of Keri (Nielsen) Kimball, with whom he shared 35 years Billy was born on October 5 1951, in Portland Maine, to the late Burtt and Mary (Gillis) Kimball. He served in the United States Air Force, supporting the Vietnam War effort. His commitment to service continued as he dedicated nearly 30 years of his life to the Plainville Police Department, retiring as a Sergeant in 2004. His friends and colleagues will remember him as a steady presence in the community and a respected leader who always had the best interests of others at heart. Billy kept his ties to Maine strong, often returning to his home state to visit family and relive cherished memories with his children and grandchildren by his side. He was a pillar of strength-someone his family and friends could rely upon, and his family was the center of his universe. A devoted husband, father and, his proudest role, "Bumpa," he was a constant presence in their lives, supporting them at every game, event, milestone and celebration. Billy's kind heart, warm smile and selfless nature touched the lives of many, and he will be remembered for the love he freely shared with those he held dear. In addition to his wife Keri, he leaves his adored daughters, Kelly Carrier, her husband Eric, Colleen Perry, her husband Chris, Kayla Pavlowitz and her husband Bryan; his sons Jason Davis and William R. Kimball and his wife Alison; his beloved grandchildren, Ainsley and Liam Kimball, Lindsey Carrier, Kayley Gardner and her husband David, Eric Carrier, McKenna, Jackson, and Delaney Perry, and Clayton Pavlowitz, and his great-granddaughter Callie. He also leaves his brother Skip, his sisters Jerry, Debbie and Sis; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings Bruce and Roberta.
