William Mignault Obituary

William "Bill" Mignault, 61, of Middletown passed away unexpectedly on May 28, 2025. He was the son of the late George Mignault and Pat (Boucher) Belval. Bill was born and lived in Middletown until the age of 12 when the family moved to Texas. He enjoyed helping out on the family farm and especially loved his bull, "Georgie." He and his mother moved back to Middletown after his father's death. He attended Middletown High School where he played football and met some of his dearest friends. Upon graduation he attended Porter and Chester Institute for Automotive Technology. However, he ultimately found his calling as an E.M.T where he spent many years at Hunter's Ambulance. Bill also served as a volunteer firefighter in Middletown. He was very proud of his work and often shared stories of his time as an emergency responder. When that chapter was over, he went back to school to pursue his passion for cooking at the Center for Culinary Arts. He went on to work various jobs as a cook and caterer, in addition to making his famous concoctions for his loved ones. Another passion of his was music. He carried on the family tradition by pulling out his guitar and singing with family at their many gatherings, but especially the Boucher Family Reunions. Bill spent many hours on the water fishing with friends and family. He especially had many fond memories of time spent on his boat. In recent years he enjoyed sitting on his porch with his cherished cat, Chloe looking out at the river he loved and spent so much time around. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his nephews Eric and Jeremy Smith. His brother-in-law, David Welsch and dear friend Nick Cordone. Bill leaves behind his beloved son Jordan Mignault and his mother, Christine, of Berlin. His sisters, who were always there for him, Joyce (David) Baker of Haddam, Nancy Welsch of Middletown, and Lou (Bob) Marks also of Middletown. He was Uncle Billy to his nieces and nephews; Keith Baker, Colleen Scameheorn, Matthew Welsch, Kellie Stevenson, Dylan Marks and Brittanie Marks as well as his great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by several cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in Bill's memory can be made to Protectors of Animals
