Barbara J. Maloney

Barbara J. Maloney, 90, of Bushnell, Illinois passed away at 7:56 pm on Sunday April 7, 2024 at her daughters home. She was born February 13, 1934 in Bushnell IL to Lawrence and Gertrude (Bartlett) Hammond. She married James Robert Maloney on June 16, 1951 in Table Grove, IL. He preceded her in death on January 22, 2001. She is survived by five children, Stacey (Tim) Bolt of Lynn Center, IL; Ken Maloney of Idaho; Alan Maloney of Bushnell, IL; Larry (Mary Jo) Maloney Sr. of Plymouth, IL; grandson Larry Maloney Jr. of Berne, IN; several grandchildren and many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; one brother, Bill (Sara) Hammond of Bardolph, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one granddaughter, Theresa Maloney, one brother, Jim Hammond, three sisters, Betty Hyde, Beverly Cox and Judy Tarvin. She enjoyed going on trips with her sisters, gardening, working in her yard and crocheting. Spending time with family was a joy to her. Shopping with her daughter on Saturday mornings was always fun. Talking to, arguing and loving on her dog Dodger. Cremation Rites have been accorded by Martin-Hollis Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday April 18, 2024 at the Bushnell Township Cemetery with Pastor Jim Eddy officiating. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the graveside services at the Bushnell VFW Post 1422 until 2:00 PM.
