He married Linda Neally in 1976 but later divorced. This marriage produced a beautiful daughter, Heather Nicole, whom Brian referred to as his little Honeybee, because she was always buzzing around taking care of everyone. Debbie preceded him in death on April 12, 2024.
Brian owned and operated Dickerson Antenna and Tower for many years. He was an avid guitar player and loved his Gretsch Alligator Resonator guitar. He loved bluegrass music and going to the bluegrass festivals. He loved his fishing trips with his friends and his dog Kira. He also enjoyed birdwatching. He was a dedicated brother and friend to his sister Sharon Dickerson Fink and a loving uncle and friend to her children. Brian was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Brian is survived by his daughter, Heather (John Hopper) Evans of Jacksonville, Il, a sister; Sharon Dickerson-Fink of Carthage, a brother; James (Elva) Dickerson of Carthage, four grandsons; Collin (Blasia) Schlieker, Evan (Ash Booth) Schlieker, Seth (Janice Dibble) Evans, and Brayden Hopper, and many nieces, nephews and cousins and his dog Kira.
