Carolyn Sue Dickerson

Carolyn Sue Dickerson,81, of Bowling Green, MO, passed away on October 14, 2025 at Maple Lawn in Palmyra, MO. She was born on April 27,1944 in Stoddard County, MO to Claude and Rosena (Hill) Barnett. Carolyn attended the local schools, along with her siblings. She met Loyd Dickerson when they were out skating and the rest is history. They were united in marriage on November 30, 1962. To this union were born two children, Robert and Karen. Carolyn was an excellent housekeeper, who took good care of her little family. She enjoyed reading fiction books, gardening, taking care of her birdhouses, but most of all spending time with family and friends. Her family describes her as, "outgoing, strong-willed, kind and especially loving. She will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 63 years, Loyd Dickerson of Bowling Green, MO, children, Robert (Linda) Dickerson of Des Moines, IA and Karen (Kent) Kanauss of Center, MO, granddaughter, Kourtney (Jacob) Shaw and their two children, Theo and Owen Shaw of St. Charles, MO, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. A Private Service will be held at a later date.
