Charlene Kenney Obituary

Charlene Kenney, 71, of Macomb, Illinois passed away at 4:13 AM Tuesday December 17, 2024, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb, Illinois. She passed quietly with family by her side. She was born June 9, 1953, in Fairhaven, Massachusetts to Albert and Theresa (Benoit) Kenney. Her brother Randy Kenney preceded her in death on 12/15/24 in the New England area. She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Tonya) Hamer of Macomb, Illinois, Robert (Scottie) Hamer of Fishersville, Virginia, grandchildren, Jack Hamer, Liberty Hamer, Drake Richmond, Killian Howard, and loving nephew Bryan Kenney. She worked in Customer Service for Dot Foods for 7 years. She was the proprietor of the Pineapple Inn in Macomb. She worked in the banking industry in the New England area for many years before moving to Macomb. She was affectionately named "Cha Cha" upon becoming a grandmother in 2004. She was also known for her jewelry and beadwork on the artist circuit in West Central Illinois area. Cremation has been accorded. There will be no services. Memorial Contributions may be made to McDonough District Hospitals Hospice program. 527 E. Grant St. Macomb, IL. 61455. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
