Dorothy Foreman Obituary
Dorothy was a 1979 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She was a hardworking woman who was a longtime employee of Tate Cheese and The Nature House in Griggsville. Dorothy was an avid reader, dearly enjoyed spending time with children and animals, and will be remembered as a good wife who cherished living a simple life in the country.
Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Donald Foreman; mother, Doris Thomas; brothers, Berlyn (Becky) Thomas and Clyde Thomas; sisters, Brenda McCann and Barbara (Frank) Lightle; mother-in-law, Sharon Six; sister-in-law, Shelley Meyers; numerous nieces and nephews; and her many furry friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Berlyn 'Buck' Thomas; twin children in infancy; father-in-law, Donald 'Peachy' Foreman; stepfather-in-law, Richard Six; and brother-in-law Kevin McCann.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield with interment to follow the service at Pittsfield West Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to be made to Pike County Animal Shelter. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.nieburfh.com. Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
