Janice Davis Obituary

Janice I. Davis, 82, of Farmington, IA, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. She was born on September 5, 1943, in Quincy, IL, the daughter of Donald K. and Hilda I. McKenna Mayfield. Janice grew up in Quincy, where she attended Faith Presbyterian Church and graduated from Quincy High School. On January 30, 1965, she married Jerry D. "Tiny" Lipper Davis, in Quincy. They shared many wonderful years together until his passing on October 3, 1993. Janice worked for more than twenty years at Riverside Plastics in Bonaparte before retiring. She had a joyful spirit and a few passions that brought her great happiness-she loved working on puzzles, had a delightful collection of Mickey Mouse memorabilia, and treasured the time she spent with her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her brothers, Donald Mayfield of Quincy, IL, and Michael Mayfield of Springfield, IL, as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, with Pastor Dr. Tom Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kahoka Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, with family meeting friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Every Step Hospice.
