Jeffrey Daniel Hinds, 56, of Hannibal, MO, passed away at 4:42 AM, Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at his mothers home in Hannibal, MO. A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO. Pastor Eric Carlson will officiate. Burial with full military honors by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post #55 will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, MO. Friends and Family are invited to Jeffrey's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, June 23, 2025, at the funeral home. Jeffrey was born May 8, 1969, in Hannibal, MO to Daniel MacKurth Hinds and Linda Lee Mudd Hinds. Survivors include his parents, Daniel and Linda Hinds of Hannibal, MO; two children, Jana Elizabeth Hinds of Hannibal, MO and Kara Lee Hinds of Hannibal, MO; one brother, Lee Mac Hinds of Hannibal, MO; and numerous cousins and special family Jeffrey was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lee Mudd; grandmother, Betty Mudd; and aunt, Mary Beth Baudendistel. Jeffrey served his country with pride as a member of the United States Army serving during Operation Desert Storm. Professionally, Jeffrey worked as a front line Postal Clerk at the United States Post Office in Hannibal, MO. Jeffrey was a man who truly lived life to the fullest, embracing the great outdoors. He found peace in the simple pleasures of nature, whether it was mushroom hunting, or squirrel and deer hunting. Jeffrey enjoyed fishing, his favorite spots being Bennett Springs and Hunnewell. Jeffrey's interests were not confined to the outdoors; he could be found most evenings, watching the latest episode of "The Walking Dead" or laughing uncontrollably to "Billy Madison." One of Jeffrey's talents was his gift for cooking. His fried fish and mushrooms, pork loin and barbecue pork steaks were legendary, often requested at family gatherings. Above all, Jeffrey treasured each moment spent with his daughters and his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Jeffrey was Lutheran by faith and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hannibal, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
