Maxine LaBonte Obituary Maxine LaBonte, 81, of Burlington, Iowa, formerly of Warsaw, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington, Iowa. Maxine was born on June 8, 1943, in Warsaw, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer and Hazel (Mathes) LaBonte. She graduated from LaHarpe High School in 1961 and went to work at Sheaffer Pen in 1963. She continued her employment there until her retirement on June 30, 2003. She was a member of West Burlington Christian Church, and served as a caregiver to people in the area. She enjoyed going to the casino and once won $3,500. Maxine is survived by two brothers: Carroll LaBonte (Mary Kay Woolson) and Rod (Barb) LaBonte, both of Warsaw, and several nieces, nieces and nephews. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: John and Terry. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw. A private family burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 am at Printy Funeral Home directly before the service. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
