Michael Cowles Obituary

Michael Gregory Cowles, 73, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 6:18 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at his home. He was born on November 11, 1951 in Fort Madison, IA to Elder & Louise Hartley Cowles. He married Lili Ann McCulloch on January 1, 2011 in Princeton, IA. He worked in industrial maintenance, retiring from Heatilator. He served in the U.S. Army and enjoyed boating, fishing & yard work. His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mike is survived by: his wife: Lili Cowles of Fort Madison, IA; 1-son: Chris (Karen) Cowles of Claflin, KS; 1-daughter: Emmylynn (Kevin) Wilkins of Cedar Rapids, IA; 8-grandchildren: Lorien, Emma, Patrick, Samantha, Bryanna, Christian, Jonathan & Madyson and 1-great grandson: Sauron. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1-son, Michael S. Cowles, 1-sister, Kimberly Cowles and 1-brother, James Cowles. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. No services are planned.
