Monia E. Segoviano

Monia E. Segoviano, 55, of Burlington, IA, went home to be with our Lord and Savior at 2:52 a.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, IA. She was born on February 22, 1970 in in Juarez, Mexico to Jesus & Gloria Segoviano Castillo. She is survived by: her two sons, Joseph Segoviano & Joshua (Katrina) Segoviano both of Burlington, IA; her pride & joy grandchildren: Kameron, Sophya, Jordan & Isaiah; her common law husband, Brian Walker of Burlington, IA; her mother, Gloria Rives of Fort Madison, IA; two sisters, Mary Lou (John) Brookshire of Maryville, TN & Zerina Segoviano of Fort Madison, IA; 4-nephews: Jacob, Collin, Logan & Hayden and 1-niece, Isabel. She was preceded in death by: her grandmother, Juana Segoviano, her father, Jesus M. Castillo both of El Paso, TX. Monia was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a skilled pool player, and a woman with a truly kind heart. She was always there for her friends, a hardworking and dedicated provider for her two boys. Even as a toddler, she never met a stranger. Her warmth and friendliness touched everyone she met. Her wonderful smile & laughter was joyful. Monia was a wonderful person through and through. She also had a deep love for her darn fur babies, Crixus & Spartacus, who brought her so much joy. Her presence will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing we will see her again in Heaven. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A rosary will be recited at 3:00 p.m. A memorial has been established in her memory.
