Phyllis Worthington Obituary

Phyllis J. Worthington, age 73, of Bushnell, IL, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. She was born on April 14, 1951, in Avon, IL, to William Sr. and Betty J. (Wilson) Worthington. Phyllis is survived by her son, Bradford Settles of Bushnell; four grandchildren, Kaiser (Sharon) Keithley, Daphne (Stella) Keithley, Brynna Keithley, and Lauren Settles; great-grandchildren Phoenix, Josiah, and Maddie; and her siblings, William "Mike" Worthington Jr. of Havana, IL, Jeff (Lucy) Worthington of Phoenix, AZ, and Pam Weaver of Decatur, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Rebecca Keithley; and three siblings, Jo Stick, Kay Bennett, and Vicky Worthington. Phyllis dedicated much of her life to her work at Alcoa, where she retired after 30 yearsan accomplishment of which she was especially proud. She enjoyed spending her time with friends at the VFW, where she was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. A celebration of Phylliss life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Bushnell VFW. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bushnell Rescue Squad.
