Randy Tallman Obituary

Randy Tallman, 65, of Palmyra, MO, passed away at 12:33 PM, Saturday, August 23, 2025, at his home in Palmyra, MO. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Palmyra, MO. Pastor Dewayne Larenson will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra, MO. Randy was born May 7, 1960, in Hannibal, MO, to Carl A. Tallman and Helen M. Schafer Tallman. Survivors include his brother, Jamie R. Tallman of Palmyra, MO, sister, Cathy J. Tallman of Palmyra, MO, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Carl W. Tallman and Kelly R. Tallman. Randy took to the highways as a truck driver for 30 years. After honing his skills at Quincy Technical School, becoming a certified diesel mechanic. Randy had a fascination with engines that drove him to become a master of his craft, helping others fix their engine issues. He applied his expertise to building race car engines. Outside of work, he indulged in off-road Jeep adventures and rock bouncing, activities that allowed him to experience the thrill of the motor sports he so loved. Randy found joy in the simplest of things. He was a collector of shot glasses, each shot glass representing a moment or story. Randy was a former member of the Palmyra Jaycees. Randy listened to the sounds of Classic Rock, Motley Crue and AC/DC being a few of his favorites. Randy's legacy will be one of kindness, skill, and a profound appreciation for the world and its many roads. Randy was Baptist by Faith. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Keller, Chase Poppe, James Miller and Gerry Maas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
