Ray Whitaker Obituary

Raymond "Pat" Whitaker,77, of Bowling Green, MO, formerly of North Carolina, passed away on May 21, 2025 at SSM- Lake St. Louis Hospital. He was the son of the late Ray and Helen Whitaker. Although Pat had no remaining biological relatives, he has been an integral part of a church family that has shown him a lot of love and care. Pat has been a benefactor to many, always ready to help someone in need. He worked for North Carolina Department of Transportaion as a relocation agent and later as a trainer and consultant. Pat retired after 38 years of service and upon his retirement her received, "The Order of the Long Leaf Pine Award", which is one of the highest awards given by the Governor of North Carolina. He is survived by his beloved friends and caretakers, Rev. Tom and Maryetta Cooper of Bowling Green, MO and many other friends. Pat was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ronald Del, Thomas Edward and his twin brother, Raymond Marion Whitaker. Visitation to be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes and Crematory 701 N. Business Hwy 61 Bowling Green, MO 63334. Funeral- will also be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 4 p.m. at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes and Crematory 701 N. Business Hwy 61 Bowling Green, MO 63334 Rev. Tom Cooper to officiate. Interment- Green Lawn Cemetery Bowling Green, MO 63334 on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 10 a.m. Family and Friends may sign the online guestbook @www.mccoyblossomfh.com McCoy-Blossom Funeral Homes & Crematory
