Rex Terry Herron

Rex Terry Herron, just eight precious days old, of Bushnell, Illinois, passed away peacefully in his parents' arms on October 23, 2025, at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. He was born on October 15, 2025, in Peoria, to Cole W. and Kaylee M. (Agans) Herron. Rex's short time on earth was filled with immeasurable love. Though his stay was brief, his spirit was strong, and his presence deeply felt. He was a beautiful baby boy who showed courage and resilience beyond his tiny frame-a true fighter who touched every heart that met him. Love knows no bounds, and the love Rex gave will forever remain within those who held him close. He is survived by his loving parents, Cole and Kaylee; maternal grandparents, Heather Barry and Adam Agans; great-grandmothers, Debbie Skelton and Laura Sorrells; great-grandfather, Chuck Agans. Also surviving are his paternal grandparents, Brad and Missy Herron of Bushnell, along with many aunts, uncles, and extended family members who will carry his memory always. He was welcomed into Heaven by his maternal great-grandfather, Terry Gossage; great-great-grandmother, Joyce Peterman; paternal great-grandparents, Bob and Kay Herron, and Rex and Ardella Hodges; and his aunt, Destiny Agans. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell with Pastor Brett Fisher officiating. Interment will follow at Bushnell Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family of Rex Herron.
