Robert Kracht Obituary

Robert Kracht, 79, of Danville, took his last angel flight on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Allure of Lake Storey Care Facility in Galesburg. Born July 19, 1946, in Burlington, he was the son of George Wendell and Ellen Elizabeth Bliss Kracht. On April 25, 1969 he was married to Laura McNeill and they later divorced. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving as an aviation fuel specialist during the Vietnam War from June 9, 1964 until June 7, 1968. Robert was a janitor for Danville Schools. Robert loved being outdoors and always enjoyed hunting and fishing. His most cherished memories though. were any time he was able to spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Kracht of Fort Madison and Billy (Carrie) Kracht of Cassville, MO; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ken (Dianne) Kracht of New London. He was preceded in death by his parents and his ex-wife, Laura. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory. There will be no visitation or services.
