Rosemary D. Budke

Rosemary D. (Westfall) Budke, 104, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at her home of 80 years with her children by her side. She was born on December 16, 1920 in Fort Madison, IA, to Frank & Catherine Decker Westfall. She graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1938. She married Harold "Lefty" Budke on February 2, 1946. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1999. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She especially enjoyed family vacations to the Ozarks, picnics at Bull Creek and riding pontoon boats. Her hobbies included needlepoint, crocheting, word books, games, texting on her cell phone, reading and feeding wildlife. She loved working at Gaslight Alley and was proud of all her volunteer work. Christmas was her favorite holiday. Rosemary is survived by: 2-daughters: Cathy (John) McCannon of Wichita, KS & Becky (Stewart) Oliver of Downs, IL; 1-son: Steve Budke of Springfield, IL; 2-grandsons: Randy & Jeff McCannon; 1-grandson in law: Mike Florio; 1-great granddaughter: Chloe Florio & 2-great grandsons: Tyler & Nicholas Florio. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband & 1-granddaughter: Katie Florio. Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held from Noon to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church. The memorial mass will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary Beckman officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Sacred Heart Church.
