Sandra Valyeau Carpenter

Sandra H. Carpenter, 91, of Port Charlotte, Fl., passed peacefully in her sleep on August 24, 2025.
Sandra was born in Burlington Vt. on April 12, 1934, daughter of Allen W. and Loretta M. (Grue) Hogan.
Sandra loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Parish and a soprano in the parish choir. She was chosen to sing at the 41st International Eucharistic Congress in Philadelphia, PA. in 1976. Shortly after, Sandra joined Lyric Theater, Performing in many musicals throughout the years. She remained a loyal supporter of the theater.
Sandra is survived by her daughters Kathie S. Valyeau of Woburn, MA. and Karen J. Valyeau of Colchester, Vt.; as well as her sister Patricia Peek of E. Ellijay, GA. her grandchildren Sarah A. Valyeau and William M. Valyeau, several nieces and nephews; cousins and great grandchildren. Sandra was predeceased by her husband William J. Valyeau (1973) and her son Michael R. Valyeau (2020).
A special thank you to our Mothers friends and neighbors in Port Charlotte, Fl. who looked after her and helped make her senior years full of fun and joy.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on September 11, 2025, at 11 am at New Mount Calvary Cemetery 79 Plattsburgh Ave Burlington.
