Sheila Fae Deverger

Sheila Fae Deverger, age 74, of Perry and formerly of Quincy, died on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 12:46 a.m. in Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Saint Louis, MO. Sheila was born on July 31, 1951 in Pittsfield, IL a daughter of Don and Josephine Cawthon Hull. On April 24, 1986 she married Robert A. Deverger, Sr. in Quincy. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2013. Sheila had an appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in simple pleasures like fishing and planting flowers in her garden, which attracted the hummingbirds that she loved to watch. She looked forward to Christmas every year, not just for the holiday itself, but for the time it allowed her to spend with her family. It was a chance to gather everyone together, and she especially loved the opportunity to spoil her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Survivors include four children: Donald (Teresa) Manker of Perry; IL; Stella (Rich) Tanner of Lebanon, MO; Calvin "Larry" Manker of Quincy; and Robert (Breeana) DeVerger Jr. of Saratoga Springs, UT; ten grandchildren: Donnie (Jessica) Manker, Perry Manker, Tristan Manker, Richard (Shannon) Tanner, Ashley Tanner, Angela (Alonzo) McKinney, Rachel (Austin) Stark, Cheyenne Nutt, Max Deverger, and Parker Deverger; nine great grandchildren; five siblings: Earl (Sharon) Hull, Della Rush, Jewel Martin, Butch (Shelly) Hull, and Oatha (Roberta Shoemaker) Hull; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings: Donnie Hull, Bruce Hull, Chuck Hull, Jeanne Logsdon, Ida Lawber, and Pat Baxter. Sheila was cremated, as per her wishes. There will be no service. Memorials: Donor's choice.
