Suzzie Cohea Obituary
Suzzie Cohea, 66, of Hannibal, MO, passed away at 3:20 PM, Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.
The family will host a memorial service that will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, September 25, 2025, at True Church in Monroe City, MO. Pastor Teri Maher will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of the O'Donnell-Thurman Life Celebration Home in Monroe City, MO.
Suzzie was born July 10, 1959, in Louisiana, MO, to Marion Lamberson and Alma Wheeler Lamberson.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheena Cohea of Hannibal, MO, granddaughter, Keyann Cohea (Fitzpatrick) of Hannibal, MO sister, Donna "Ceil" Lamberson of Ashburn, MO, brothers, Lorin Lamberson of Frankford, MO, Don (Peg) Lamberson of Louisiana, MO, sister-in-laws, Rudi Lamberson of Louisiana, MO, Sharon Lamberson of Hannibal, MO, Linda Lamberson of Ashburn, MO, Connie Hopke, , numerous nieces and nephews and longtime companion Charlie James.
Suzzie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Louis Lamberson, Kenneth Lamberson, Jerry Lamberson, Larry Lamberson, Truman Lamberson, Tim Lamberson, Jack Lamberson, Jimmy Lamberson, Joyce (Wayne) Ehret, Hank Lamberson, Lonnie Lamberson, Faron Lamberson and Rusty (Donna) Lamberson, nephew, Kenny Lamberson, nieces, Rose Ehret, Chrsitina Lamberson and great nephew, Josh Luck.
Suzzie dedicated her life to creating a warm and inviting home, filled with laughter and love. Her goofy charm and radiant smile were her trademarks, lighting up every room she entered, and her sweet disposition made her beloved by many. She loved spending time with family and telling stories.
Suzzie spent time watching her favorite Hallmark movies and food shows and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Suzzie's hobbies went beyond the screen; she enjoyed playing cards and refurbishing items, giving them new life and purpose. Her weekends were often spent traversing yard sales in search of hidden treasures. She also enjoyed raising plants and watching the Sunrise.
A devout member of her church community, Suzzie's faith guided her through life's journey. She embraced opportunities to deepen her spirituality and fellowship, participating in church trips to Tennessee and Kansas. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her daily routine, as she found solace and strength in reading her Bible and sharing her love of Jesus.
Suzzie's love of baking pastries and cooking was yet another expression of her care for others. Gospel music often filled her home with harmonious melodies that spoke to her deep-rooted faith.
Suzzie's memory will forever be cherished as a testament to a life well-lived.
