Thomas Arnold Obituary

Thomas Douglas Arnold, 81 of LaBelle, Missouri passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at his home in LaBelle. The son of Charles Lawrence and Margaret Alice Coder Arnold, Sr. was born on January 13, 1944 in Hannibal, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Thelma Whan on April 21, 1968 in the First Baptist Church of Lewistown, Missouri. Tom was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewistown. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Otto Bruner Post #170 in Canton. He was an avid hunter of deer and rabbits. He raised beagles and loved horses and riding. He loved spending time with family and friends, listening to good music, telling stories of the past, dancing in the kitchen on Sunday mornings, and a good game of croquet. He is survived by his wife Thelma Arnold of LaBelle, Mo.; three daughters, Tammy Wenneker (Scott Arndt), Katie Arnold and Jennifer (Justin) Parrish all of LaBelle, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Lindsey (Justin) Jennings of Canton, Mo., Max Arnold of LaBelle, Jake (Lexi) Wenneker of Palmyra, Mo., Braeden Wenneker (Luke Lloyd) of Quincy, Il., Evelyn Parrish of LaBelle, Mo., Johnathon Parrish of LaBelle, Mo. and Hunter Miller of LaBelle, Mo.; a great-granddaughter, Emersynn Wenneker; a sister, Charlene Kelsick of Grandin, Mo.; several nieces, nephews and honorary family members, Kim Miller and Robbie Mack. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law, Charles (Nancy) Arnold, Jr. and his brother-in-law, Ralph Kelsick. Visitation will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 from 4 until 8 PM at Arnold's Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at a later date at the Lewistown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, First Baptist Church of Lewistown or Otto Bruner Post#170, American Legion. Honorary Pallbearers: Duane Austin, Steve Whitaker, Todd Logsdon, Dusty Logsdon, Cory Logsdon, Larry Arnold, Bob Arnold and Chuck Arnold.
