HAVERHILL – Brian E. Doherty, 61, of Haverhill passed away on Sunday, October 20 at Penacook Place Nursing Home in Haverhill. Born in Woburn, Brian was the son of Edward R. and Dorothy F. (Summers) Doherty, Jr. and was a graduate of Winchester High School, Class of 1981. He enjoyed traveling, going to Red Sox games in Chicago and taking long drives. He also loved to cook and experiment with especially with Mom's recipes. Brian was a devoted son, brother and uncle. He is survived by his girlfriend of 14 years Kathleen "Kate" (Poole) Witham and her children Paige Witham and her children Julian and Alayna, Karley Witham and her daughter Lillian, Brook Witham, and Mallory Witham, and a special person very dear to Brian Meme're Poole, all of Haverhill. He also leaves behind his brother Daniel F. Doherty and his wife Carol of Haverhill, his sister Suzanne Maloney of Melrose, and brother in law Christopher Maloney of Malden; and niece Amanda Doherty and partner Loren McAllister of Haverhill, and nephews Michael Maloney and his wife Laura of Salem, MA and Shawn Haley of Malden. Brian was predeceased by his sister Cherylann Haley. ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, October 26 from 1PM until 3:30PM followed by a funeral home chapel service at 3:30PM at the Kevin B. I'm so saddened to hear about Brian, my family (Ledoux) use to hang around with Brian, a lot of funny we all had with him. This is the first time hearing about this, I wish our family found out before hand. God bless him and his family. He will certainly be missed.

Suzanne, Danny and family, I´m so very sorry to hear of Brian´s passing. Great memories of our parents playing cards on Friday nights. Brian and I would watch the Friday night shows and steal quarters that fell off the table. Great memories. RIP Brian.
