John Hansbury Obituary
Plaistow, NH: John M. Hansbury, 66, of Plaistow, died Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Exeter Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Ipswich, MA, son of the late John E. and Shirley (Dion) Hansbury, John was raised and educated in Plaistow, attending Pollard School and Timberlane Regional High School where he played football and track and was football captain his senior year, graduating in 1977. He later returned home to care for his father. At the time of John's death, he was employed as a Construction Superintendent for Vertex Companies.
John could build or fix anything from a broken kitchen drawer to a military aircraft hangar and everything in between. He did all kinds of projects for family and friends without ever asking for anything in return.

He was devoted to his family, especially to his nieces, nephew and great niece and great nephews, and his late canine companions Tahoe and Tanker.
John will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his two brothers, Peter B. Hansbury of Montpelier, VT. and David T. Hansbury and his companion Joanne (Palmer) Durfee of Brentwood, his sister-in-law, Mary A. Hansbury of Plaistow, two nieces, Laura (Hansbury) McCormick and her husband Jack of Coronado, CA, and Annie (Hansbury) Ganem and her husband Brendan of Somerset, MA, and a nephew Jeffrey Hansbury and his companion Brittany DiSanto of Silver Springs, MD, great niece Alice and great nephews John, Jackson and Caden, his beloved aunt and uncle Alice and Donald Colbert of Beverly, MA, his partner Joy Gerrish and many close cousins.
