Walter Brousseau Obituary

Walter M. Brousseau, 63, a resident of Merrimac, MA died on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA. He leaves behind his soul mate, Clarisse (Cormier) Brousseau with whom he shared 27 years of marriage. He was born in Lawrence, MA., on July 10, 1961 and was the son of the late Robert and Julia (Hutnick) Brousseau. Walter was raised and educated in the Lawrence, Methuen and Salem, NH., areas. He proudly served is country by enlisting in the United States Marines. After his service, he owned and operated Qualified Trades in Merrimac, MA and was a chef at Confection by Clarisse. He was later employed in facilities maintenance for the Marriot hotel in Amesbury. Walter was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He was also a family man. Walter loved to entertain, always getting the family and friends over for cookouts. He will be dearly missed. Besides his wife he is survived by his son Dennis Demonceau and his wife Jessica St. Amand of Haverhill, MA., his grandchildren Devin Demonceau, Mason Demonceau and Kassidy St. Amand, his sister Kathy Maroun of Brooklyn, NY, and his niece Dawn Sidoti of Brooklyn, NY. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. He was sadly predeceased by his daughter, Julie Brousseau, sisters, Nancy Walsh and Sandra Berthold, and nephew, Christopher Walsh. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 7, 2024 at 2pm at the New Old Oak 76 E. Main St. Merrimac, MA.

He was a great person and friend gonna be missed big time. I'll never forget when we were kids hanging out in his bedroom laughing listening to Cheech & Chong albums.The only kid I knew with facel hair in the sixth grade. We also won first place in basketball that year. Good Times
