Ada Sue (Bond) Powers, age 83, of La Grange, MO passed away Monday, February 17, 2025, at Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton, MO.
She was born July 13, 1941, in Kahoka, MO a daughter of Forest William and Ruby Elizabeth Egley Bond. She married Kenneth E. Powers on April 30, 1960, in Wayland, MO. He passed away April 11, 2018.
Sue was a seamstress and had worked at Quincy Specialties, she loved to sew. Some of her hobbies were dancing, crafting, and cake baking. Camping with Kenny was a favorite. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in La Grange. She was a good mother who loved her grand babies and great grand babies very much.
Survivors include three children, Tami Smith of Quincy, IL, Becki (Trenton) Seeley of Peoria, AZ and Kent Powers of Canton; six grandchildren, Shanna Snow of Quincy, Kenneth Brad (Sandra) Akers of Colorado Springs, CO, Samantha Akers of Surprise, AZ, Dillon Hodges of Lafayette, TN, Kendall Powers of Canton and Skylar Seeley of Peoria, AZ; thirteen great grandchildren, Austin, Camron, Lakyn, Halyiah, Kennedy, Beau, Rene, Joel, Axton, Aria, Hazel, Mouse and Piper and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Howard and Dale Bond.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in La Grange, MO with Pastor Barry Pfister officiating. Burial will be in Marks Cemetery in La Grange. Visitation will be held Friday, February 21, 2025, from noon until time of services in the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
