Coby Gent Obituary

Coby James Gent, age 29, was born in Dallas on July 25, 1979, and went to Heaven to be with the Lord Jesus on Dec. 23, 2008.
Diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, doctors said he would not live to be six years old. However, he had successful double lung transplant at age 13 at the University of North Carolina Hospital. After graduation he moved to Destin, Fla., and worked at the Back Porch Restaurant and the Hard Rock Café. He married Christina Harden of Niceville, Fla., and they lived in Destin. Coby made such a difference in many lives, including his family, his friends and his health caregivers. A friend said he was a mighty warrior. He was our "Super Coby."
Donations may be made to the Coby Gent Fund, American National Bank, 2700 S. Washington, Kaufman, TX 75142. His parents, Todd and Tricia Gent, and his sister, Casey Gent, can be contacted at 12049 Thomas Lane, Scurry, TX 75158. A guestbook is available at www.parker-ashworthfuneralhome.com.
Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1003, Kaufman, TX 75142 (972-932-8152).

I have many good memories of Trish and Todd and remember when Coby was born.
I'm sorry we lost touch all these years. I saw the Super Coby video on YouTube. Great tribute
