Da'dn Dean-Smith Obituary

LABELLE, Mo. -- Da'dn Keaton Cecil Dean-Smith, 22 months, of LaBelle died Sunday (March 9, 2008) as the result of a house fire at LaBelle. Born April 21, 2006, in St. Louis, he was the son of Kiri K. Inza Smith and Daniel Keaton Dean. He is survived by his parents; one brother Ki'dn Danavon Dean-Smith; grandparents, Gerald and Tresh Smith of LaBelle, Darrell and Phyllis Dean of Canton, and Randy and Marlene Scull of Fort Madison, Iowa; great-grandparents, Lyn and Richard Newberry of Fort Madison, Gracie Smith of LaBelle, Vonda Scull of Fort Madison, and Louise Orange of Canton and one great-great-grandmother, Marjorie Newberry of West Point, Iowa. Other survivors include aunts, Mana Smith and Connie Boecker of LaBelle, and Annthea Dean of Canton; uncles, R.J. Smith and Chaz Boatman-Smith of LaBelle, Moka Smith of Keokuk, Iowa, and Clinton Dean and Bryson Dean of Canton. Also surviving are great-aunts, Karen Bardwell, Heather (Josh) Kelly, Evone Smith, Tiffany Smith, Sarah Smith, K.K. Abby, Belinda Orange, and Patricia Pedroza, and great-uncles, Lonnie Orange, Jamie (Tammy) Newberry, Andy (Aimee) Newberry, and Ed (Tonya) Newberry, Marty (Miranda) Smith, Gary (Lana) Smith, and dear friends, Christina "Tatina" Lewis and Bobby Gearhart and the special family dog, "Brittle." Da'dn was preceded in death by two great-uncles, Fred Smith and Cody Scull, and great-aunt, Rose Smith. SERVICE: A going-home celebration will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle with Pastor James Salter officiating. Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery. VISITATION: 11 a.m. until noon Wednesday in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle. MEMORIALS: To the Ki'dn Dean-Smith Memorial Fund and may be mailed to or left at the Coder Funeral Home, P.O. Box 151, LaBelle, MO 63447. ARRANGEMENTS: Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle.
