Donald C. Richmond, Sr., 80 of Lewistown, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, Illinois.
The son of Bob and Dorothy Claus Richmond was born on October 14, 1944, in Lebanon, Kentucky.
He was united in marriage to Cynthia Ellegood on June 12, 1994, at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Quincy, IL.
Don served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his military career, he served ten years as a fireman and EMT in Longmont, CO. He was an elder of the Lewistown Seventh Day Adventist Church and past commander of the Lewis County Memorial Post #578 American Legion. His main focus was God, family and friends and he loved bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Richmond of Lewistown, MO; six children, Don (Kim) Richmond, Jr. of Kansas City, MO, Jim (Debbie) Richmond of Chattanooga, TN, Regina "Gina" (Donald) Rhodes of N. Aurora, IL, Amanda (Adam) Kerasotes of Naperville, IL, Tom (Lena) Ellegood of Imperial, MO and William (Kesia) Ellegood of Montgomery, TX; fifteen grandchildren, Steven Richmond, Zach Richmond, A.J. Richmond, Joe Richmond, Alex Richmond, Nicholas Kerasotes, Donnie Rhodes, Carlise Richmond, Brianna Richmond, Lilly Richmond, Emily Richmond, Sabrina Ellegood, Justin Ellegood, Klarissa Whaley, and Kylie Ellegood; and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Francis (Carla) Richmond of Lewistown, MO and Calvin Richmond; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and stepbrother, Bob Richmond.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Arnold's Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri with Pastor Dean Coridan officiating. Inurnment with Military Honors will be in the Lewistown Cemetery by Lewis County Memorial Post #578.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 pm until the time of services at Arnold's Funeral Home in Lewistown.
Memorials may be made to Lewis County Memorial Post #578 American Legion.
