Other survivors include his grandparents James and Lois Ford; Parents; wife Caitlyn Voepel of Palmyra, MO; his children Vaeda Kentlee, Oakley Layne, and Charlee Jayde; and sister Jessyka Renee Humes (Matthew).
Jaykob was preceded in death by his grandparents Sonny & Jean Voepel.
After high school Jaykob went on to earn his bachelor's in business administration with an emphasis in Health Care Management. He worked as a Flight Paramedic for Survival Flight based out of Hannibal.
With a smile that could light up a room and a heart of gold, Jaykob adored spending his time playing with and loving on his children. He loved racing with his daughter Vaeda, on their 4-wheelers at the county fair. His love of all things on wheels carried over to his beloved motorcycle "Lilly", riding 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, and of course being in his side by side with anyone who wanted to go along. Jaykob enjoyed golfing with his friends and taking the family out on their boat. Jaykob appreciated good conversation and with his out-going nature he could engage just about anyone into sharing their thoughts and stories. He would often dance with his wife and kids just for the fun of it. These are the memories and traits that his family will hold dear to their hearts, this good natured, fun-loving guy who was the best son, husband, daddy, and brother they could ever hope for.
Pallbearers will be Doug Shade, Derek Bichsel, Matt Humes, Chris Foss, Galan Tuley, Randy Davis, Jay Bock, and Brad Schaefer.
Memorial contributions may be made to Caitlyn Voepel for an Education Fund for his children or Our Hidden Heroes.
Honorary pallbearer is Kale Gosney and his EMS work family.
