Louise Voth

1936 - 2017

PLAINVILLE, Ill. -- Ida Louise Voth, 81, of Plainville, died at 6:54 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at Hannibal (Mo.) Regional Hospital.

Born June 5, 1936, in Hannibal, Louise was a daughter of Benjamin and Viola (Seigler) Kaden. She married Glenn Voth on Nov. 8, 1959, at her family home in Woodland, Mo. They were married 41 years before Glenn passed away Nov. 6, 2001.

Louise was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plainville and the Plainville Ladies Home Extension Group. Over the years, she enjoyed gardening, putting together her many puzzles, reading, bowling, and walking with friends and her dog, Rocky. Louise loved her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them, taking them out for lunch, shopping and attending many ball games. Louise worked at Nieders Nursery for many years and most recently worked for Peter's Greenhouse. She also spent many hours helping out with numerous church dinners.

Surviving are two sons, Doug Voth (Melanie) of Plainville, and Darren Voth of Bloomington; three daughters, Donna French (Ron) of Forsyth, Diane Schroeder (Chuck) of Quincy and Danette Rabe (Eric) of Mendon; seven grandchildren, Kristen French McClenahan (Max) of Oklahoma City, Brittany French of Scottsdale, Ariz., Shannon Rabe and Claire Rabe, both of Mendon, and Ben Schroeder and Joe Schroeder, both of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn; a brother, Herbert Kaden; and sister, Martha Kaden.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at First Baptist Church, Plainville. Burial will be in Stewart Cemetery, Plainville.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, Payson.

MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church of Plainville or Barry Community Care Center.
