Margaret Veihl, age 77, of Quincy, left this earth on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Margaret was born January 17, 1947, in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Pansy Shaw Sidner. She is survived by: a brother Keith Sidner; a sister, Judy (Herb) Perkins; a half-brother, Brian (Rebecca) Eston; and four nieces and nephews, Sara (Tim Wellman) Sidner, Shayla Christopher, Erik Hines, and Adam Sidner.
Margaret married Richard Eugene Veihl, Sr., on April 26, 1995. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2021. From this marriage, Margaret inherited eight wonderful children: Linda (James) McNay, Richard (Teena) Veihl, Chrissa (Kathy) Veihl, Susan (Dale Clinging) Veihl, Julie (Greg) Galusha, Karen (Max) Mosley, Neil (Diana) Veihl, and Craig Veihl.
Margaret is also survived by: eighteen inherited grandchildren, Kim (Rob) Mclaren, Sarah (Todd Stringer) Laaker, Andrew (Amanda) Lyons, Nicole (Nathan) Holtschlag, Trenton Lyons, Brian Veihl, David (Alyssa) Galusha, Kevin (Ginnie) Galusha, Lisa Galusha, Nathan Mosley, Danica Mosley, Caitlyn (Cody) Varner, Emily (Cruz) Mellon, Chris Veihl. Caroline (Christian) Sestito, Koda (Jayme) Veihl, Michaela Veihl, and Erika Veihl; and inherited great grandchildren, Ella Mclaren, Matilda Mclaren, Braeden Lyons, Isabella Lyons, Nick Crowder, Keaton Crowder, Noah Crowder, Grant Holtschlag, Hayes Holtschlag, Oliver Veihl, Henry Galusha, Monty Galusha, Eli Galusha, Aleah Galusha, Olivia Galusha, Benjamin Mellon, Daniel Mellon, Theo Mellon, Jonah Mellon, Lyra Sestito, Elliot Veihl, Landon, Lincoln Veihl, and Kole Veihl.
In addition to her husband, Richard, Margaret was preceded in death by: her parents; a son, Charles A. "Tony" Bradshaw; and three brothers, Sanford Sidner, David Sidner, and Perry Nixon.
Private services will be held.
