Mary Trone Obituary

RUSHVILLE, Ill. -- Mary F. Ritchey Trone, 96, of Rushville, died at 4 p.m. Wednesday, (June 24, 2015) at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home. She was born in Rushville on Feb. 8, 1919, the only child of Robert and Lenora Lambert Ritchey. She first married J.M. Waters.

On Nov. 13, 1944, in Virginia, she married John E. "Dice" Trone. He died Feb. 10, 2004.

She loved to cook and collect cookbooks. She was also an Elvis Presley and Dallas Cowboys fan. Mary was a loving and caring person with a special love for her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

She graduated from Rushville High School in 1936. She owned and operated Mary's Dari-Maid and Mary's Cafe for many years before retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Rushville Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Klitz and her husband, Carson, of Rushville; one grandson, Christopher Klitz and his wife, Dianne, of Rushville; and two great-grandsons, Brady Ross Klitz and Jason Christopher Klitz.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Monday, June 29, at the Worthington Funeral Home, with David Haney conducting. Interment will follow in Sugar Grove North Cemetery.

VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at the funeral home.

MEMORIALS: Hope Blooms or the Rushville/Industry Rocket Boosters.

ARRANGEMENTS: Worthington Funeral Home, Rushville.
