Mildred Delaney Obituary

KEOKUK, Iowa -- Mildred Delaney, 82, of Keokuk, died Friday morning (March 20, 2015) at Lexington Square in Keokuk.

She was born Oct. 2, 1932, in Moberly, Mo., as a daughter of Paul and Ester Brown Delaney. On July 21, 1950, Mildred was united in marriage to Jerald Pryor in Keokuk; they later divorced.

Milly graduated from the Keokuk High School with the Class of 1950.

She was employed at Northwestern Bell and later at Four Seasons in Keokuk.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Keokuk.

Milly enjoyed the river, going boating and loved dancing, whether it was a fast or slow dance.

She is survived by one daughter, Gail Hark of Keokuk; one grandson, Douglas Rudd of St. Louis; one granddaughter, Angie Cowden of Hannibal, Mo.; three great-grandsons, Jayden Rudd, Tucker Cowden and Trenton Cowden; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Cowden; her stepmother, Mary Keeber of Columbia, Mo.; three sisters, Cynthia Delaney, Fabiane Delaney and Tanya Delaney, all of Columbia; one brother, Greg Delaney of Columbia; nieces and nephews.

Milly was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter in infancy, Becky Ann Pryor; one sister, Paula Ketterer, and one brother, Paul Delaney.

SERVICES: 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, with the Rev. David Turner officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Keokuk.

VISITATION: 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the family meeting with friends at that time.
