Naomi Ruth Bean, 86, of Quincy, IL, passed away at 1:55 am Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Sunset Home in Quincy.
A private burial will be held at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy.
The family will host a graveside service at a later date.
The family is being served by the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home in Quincy.
Naomi was born July 24, 1934, in Palmyra, MO to Charles F. and Roselma C. (Rhodes) Bridgman.
She was married to David M. Bean on March 30, 1980 in New London, MO. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2013.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis L. Toliver of St. Ann, MO and Larry L. Toliver (Bonnie) of Palmyra, MO; four grandchildren, Stephanie Cornell (Douglas), Jeff Toliver, Scott Toliver (Tammy), and Autumn Stone (Ryan); six great-grandchildren, Veda Cornell, Shawn Toliver, Rex Toliver, Gretchen Toliver, Brody Stone, and Blake Stone; and nieces and nephews, Cecelia Cannon, Christina Snyder, and Charles Collins of OK, Ruby Ervin of Quincy, IL, and numerous others.
In addition to her husband, Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Bridgman; one sister, Mary Anderson; and one infant sister.
Naomi was a 1954 graduate of Quincy High School. Professionally, she went on to be a factory worker at Motorola.
Naomi loved being outdoors, whether that was fishing, hunting, or doing yard work. She also had a wonderful garden and enjoyed canning the things she grew.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Community Church.

Larry & Dennis, sorry to learn of the passing of your mom. I'm reminded of her strength and the attention she gave to maintaining good health each time I step on my treadmill. For many years she never missed doing her daily treadmill walk.
