Nicholas L. Davis

Nicholas L. Davis, 72, of 4300 Bunker Drive, Quincy, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday (May 12, 2014) in Blessing Hospital.

He was born on Sept. 16, 1941, in Quincy, a son of Merle Davis and Dorothy A. Marquardt.

Nick married Carol A. Mast on Aug. 20, 1960, in Quincy. She survives.

Mr. Davis was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. He attended both Culver-Stockton College and Quincy College.

Nick was a lifetime member of the Church of St. Peter. He was a former member of Spring Lake Country Club and he loved to play golf. His greatest enjoyment was time spent with family and friends.

Mr. Davis was the manager of grain procurement for Quincy Soybean Co. for many years.

In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by three children, Craig Davis and his wife, Nickie, of Quincy, Angela Heffernan and her husband, Willie, of St. Louis and Vincent Davis and his wife, Nikki, of Quincy; 10 grandchildren, Cooper, Parker and Elizabeth Davis, Brighid, Liam, Declan, and Margaret Heffernan, and Gabriella, Taylor and Joseph Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

SERVICES: 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home and 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Peter. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.

MEMORIALS: Blessing Foundation for Hospice, the Church of St. Peter or Quincy Notre Dame.
