Pamela Austin Obituary

Pamela Ann Austin, 65, of Quincy, died at 10:12 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 5, 2014) in Blessing Hospital.

She was born Oct. 6, 1948, in Quincy, a daughter of Calvin Keys and Mardell Morath and Robert Voth.

Pamela was a 1966 graduate of Quincy High School and a graduate of Blessing School of Nursing. She was employed by Dr. Greenbank for 20 years until his retirement, and then worked at Quincy Medical Group for 25 years until her retirement on Dec. 31, 2013.

She was an avid reader. Pam had a large social group, "The Margarita Girls," with whom she enjoyed going out.

Pamela was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she was an elder. She spent many hours with family and loved ones and especially being involved with her grandchildren. A highlight in recent years was accompanying her father on a Great River Honor Flight as a chaperone.

Survivors include her two sons, Richard (Penny) Ellerman and Ryan (Mary Ann Mester) Ellerman; three grandchildren, Brittany and Drew Ellerman and Sadie Ellerman, all of Quincy; a sister, Pati (Gary) Eaton of Quincy; a brother, Robin (Denise) Voth of Columbia, Mo.; her father, Robert Voth, of Quincy; three nieces, Dawn (Eric) Peters of Quincy, Nicole Voth of Florida and Camryn Voth of Columbia; two nephews, Andrew (Susie) Eaton and Ronald (fiancée, Amy Williams) Eaton, both of Quincy; four great-nieces; and two great-nephews.

Pamela was preceded in death by her biological father; her mother; and her grandparents.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in Trinity United Church of Christ with the Rev. Timothy A. White conducting. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

MEMORIALS: Blessing Cancer Center or Trinity United Church of Christ.

ARRANGEMENTS: Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
