Robert K. Knuffman, 55, of Quincy passed away February 2, 2023, in his home in Quincy.
He was born July 5, 1967, in Quincy, the son of Kenneth Knuffman and Maria (Morrell-Knuffman) Calvin. He married Cheryl (Walker) Knuffman on October 1, 1988 in Carthage, Illinois. While they separated in 2019, she survives along with two children, Nick (Ben) Knuffman-Brewer of Peoria, Illinois and Nathan (Carman) Knuffman of Wentzville, Missouri, and three grandchildren, Maxwell, Auggie, and Marshall. Survivors include his mother Maria Calvin of Quincy, Illinois, and siblings, Christina (Kent) Vonderheide of Quincy, Illinois, Rebecca Knuffman of Springfield, Illinois, Tammy (Karl) Carman of Quincy, Illinois, Todd (Missy) Wemhoener of Belleville, Illinois, and Amanda (Keith) England of Quincy, Illinois, Grandmother Margie Morrell of Texas, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, stepmother (Jessie Knuffman), and stepfather (Don Calvin).
Robert was a 1985 graduate of Carthage High School. His career consisted of masonry, welding, and recently janitorial work. Robert was a lover of all food and animals. The family had a few dogs and most recently, Emily was his favorite pet pal. He had a love for music, drawing, and making people laugh from time to time. He will be cremated, and a family gathering/celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Should you want to make any memorial contributions, please do so to Quincy Humane Society.
