Rusty Lee Hahn, 65, of Quincy, IL, passed away at 7:54 am Sunday, September 5, 2021 at his home.
Friends and Family are invited to Rusty's Life Celebration on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home in Quincy. The visitation will take place at 1:00 pm, and the Memorial Service at 2:00 pm. Mr. Ted Lung will officiate the service. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Liberty, IL at a later date.
Rusty was born September 13, 1955, in Quincy, IL to Floyd and Merrie Evelyn (Graff) Hahn.
Survivors include his father, Floyd Hahn; three children, Sommer Kite (Christopher) of Waterloo, IL, Gabriel Hahn of St. Louis, MO, and Taylor Hahn of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren, Reese Kite and Caden Kite; and one sister, Debbie Peter (Randy) of Quincy, IL.
Rusty was preceded in death by his mother, Merrie Evelyn Hahn.
Rusty was employed as an electrical contractor throughout Illinois and anyone who had the opportunity to work with Rusty spoke highly of his character and work ethic.
Rusty was a thrill seeker and loved driving motorcycles. He was so much of a thrill seeker that he was still doing back flips at age 63. Rusty had trained in gymnastics on the Liberty School tumbling team. According to his grandchildren, Rusty made the best turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy. His favorite meal to enjoy was steak and potatoes from Texas Roadhouse. Rusty loved Blues music, but nothing beat the love he had for his family. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, whose sporting events he enjoyed following.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Blessing Hospice.

To all the Hahn family,I´m so sorry for your loss. I was a classmate of Rusty´s at Liberty High School. I hadn´t kept in touch with him, but I remember him as kind and friendly. Rest In Peace Rusty and my prayers and sympathy to your family. May their good memories help comfort them now.
