Lawrence John Pleasants Sr.

Lawrence John Pleasants Sr., 83 of Memphis passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2009. He was the son of Harry Thomas Pleasants Sr. and Frances Neuman Pleasants. Lawrence proudly served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He later retired from Baptist Hospital as a Business Manager. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles W. Pleasants and Raymond A. Pleasants. He is also preceded in death by his former wife, Amy Claire Pleasants and their son Lawrence John Pleasants, Jr. Lawrence is survived by two daughters, Catherine Diane May and Amy Adams Nicholas both of Bartlett, TN, and one son Glenn Thomas Pleasants and his wife Jenifer of Olive Branch, MS. Lawrence is also survived by three granddaughters, Claire Catherine May, Amy Elizabeth Adams and Sarah Melissa Adams all of Bartlett, TN and his brothers, Harry Thomas Pleasants, Jr. and Robert J. Pleasants of Memphis. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13 from 3 -5 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
