Glenda Carolyn McKay, 87, of Searcy, Ark., passed away on Aug. 14, 2025. She was a devoted member of Mount Bethel Freewill Baptist Church and volunteered at the Searcy First Methodist Church Thrift Shop. She loved her family, enjoyed knitting and other needlework and was well-known for her fried chicken.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Coy Lee and Manola Kramer, and daughter, Leah Loy Harbin. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Jerry McKay; children, Debbie Bell (Scotty), Jenna Bassett (Mike), Denver McKay, Cynthia Bennett (Matt) and Deanna McKay; brother, George Lee Kramer; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m., followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, at Mount Bethel Freewill Baptist Church, 5286 Rose Bud, AR 72137. Memorials may be made to Mount Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.
