Helen K. Cullum, 92, of Searcy, passed away Oct. 14, 2025 in Searcy. She was born on Feb. 16, 1933, in Kensett, to Harrison and Annie Parish Ward.
Helen married her husband of 72 years, Donald Dale Cullum, on June 4, 1951. She was a longtime member of Park Avenue Baptist Church in Searcy, where she was very active in many areas of the church ministries for many years.
Helen met Dale while he was in the Army and was married at that time. When they moved back to Arkansas, she went to work in the dry-cleaning business. She eventually opened her own dry cleaners called Helen's Dry Cleaners and Dale finally went to work alongside his wife at the Dry Cleaners, then D & H Discount Sales. The couple enjoyed traveling together, their church family and family gatherings.
She is survived by her nephews, Robert (Linda) Ward of Searcy, Larry (Brandi) Ward of Bradford and Dewight (Frankie) Law of Florida; niece, Debbie (Eddie) Cummings of Judsonia; and special great-niece. Heidi Ward.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Harrison and Annie Ward; her husband, Donald Dale Cullum; and her seven siblings, Grace Jackson, Blanche Cartwright, Jewell Law, Floyd Ward, Robert Ward, Howard Ward and Gene Ward.
Services are set for Monday, Oct. 20, at Park Avenue Baptist Church with visitation at noon followed by a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. All services are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home, Searcy.

Dale and Helen were our neighbors for 44 years.
They were fine people. Dale was Santa for our young children one Christmas.
