Edgard Humbert Obituary

Edgard Humbert, 67

Edgard Christian Horace Humbert left us and moved on to the next place on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. Ed was born in Monaco in 1956, and emigrated to the US with his parents when he was about six. He attended Medina Schools and Palm Beach Community College. Ed made his living as a carpenter, and was known for his mad skills. Whatever he did, he did expertly. Ed loved the woods, the beach, serious bicycling, snowboarding, chess and expertly playing golf very badly. He loved his Brownies, Indians, and F1 racing. Most of all, he loved his two girls. Heather Konger, of Palm City, Fl., (granddaughter Isla) and Jenny Buntura (Chris Buntura and grandson Flynn), of West Akron, OH. He was pre-deceased by the girls' mother, Audrey, when the girls were just babies. While Ed considered himself a nomad and a loner, he also left behind lifelong friends and cousins who still cared for him, even though he slipped off to the wilds of Montana twenty years ago. Roger, Jerry, Eric, Chris, Mike, Linda (Dwayne), Michelle (Joe), Brenda (Jason), and former wife Lisa, along with his Whitefish friends, most of whom we never got to meet. There will be a private memorial at the beach in Florida, and on the disc golf course in Akron. Please keep Ed in your hearts. He is no longer suffering, and found his own peace. He was just too gentle for this world.

My brother Brian and I grew up with Ed on Remsen Rd in Medina. There were so many great times and there are so many good memories of hockey games and adventures in the woods and any number of good time spent together that I am hard pressed to describe those times here. I am sorry to learn that Ed passed and I extend my heart felt condolences to his family. I loved him like a brother. Greg Huber
